Francesco De Bartolomeis. Con l’arte e con gli artisti

Place: Casa del Conte Verde. Address: Via Fratelli Piol, 8 Rivoli (TO) A journey through works, letters, archive documents and testimonies reconstructs the deep relationship between Francesco De Bartolomeis and the artists with whom he shared research, friendship and dialogue over the course of a lifetime. The City of Rivoli dedicates an exhibition to Francesco De Bartolomeis, educationalist, art critic, professor emeritus of the University of Turin and a reference figure in twentieth-century Italian culture, deeply tied to the city where he carried out intense research, training and promotion of art. The exhibition, curated by Tea Taramino and Irene Pittatore, with critical text by Francesco Poli, arises from the discovery of a precious heritage preserved in De Bartolomeis's home-studio: letters, works, studies, books and documents that tell the story of a network of relationships built with artists, intellectuals and students. The exhibition route brings together works by De Bartolomeis himself together with paintings, sculptures, drawings, letters, photographs and documents from his personal archive, placing them in dialogue with works by some important artists of the twentieth century and contemporary art
