How we collect and check events
This page explains where our listings come from, what we verify, and what we do not.
Our sources
Events reach the calendar in three ways.
Automated collection. We read the public event calendars of regional and municipal tourism bodies. At the time of writing these include Visit Langhe Monferrato Roero, Gran Monferrato, the comune of Acqui Terme, Itinerari nel Gusto, Sagre.it, Monferrato On Tour and Langhe.net. Every listing on this site names the source it came from and links back to it.
Organiser submissions. Any organiser can submit an event through our submission form. Submissions are checked by hand before they appear.
Our own attendance. We live here. Some listings are written from having been there, and those are marked as such.
What we check
Before an event is published we confirm the date, the comune and the category. We check that an event appearing in two sources is not published twice. We do not publish an event we cannot trace to a named source or a named organiser.
What we cannot promise
Small village events change at short notice, and rain cancels more of them than anything else. Always check the organiser's own page or telephone number before you travel. Where an official link exists we put it on the listing for exactly that reason.
What we will not do
We do not write event descriptions with AI, and we do not pad a listing with invented detail to make a page look fuller. An event about which we know only the name, the date and the place is published with the name, the date and the place, and it is left out of search results rather than dressed up.
Removals
An organiser who does not want their event listed can ask us to remove it and we will, without argument.
