Address: Palazzo Mathis, noble floor, Piazza Caduti per la Libertà 20, 12042 Bra, CN The exhibition on ancient Egypt, promoted by the Municipality of Bra in collaboration with the famous Museo Egizio, is unique in the area. It places unpublished finds and amulets at the center, guiding the visitor to discover: the Egyptian deities, the central role of the sovereign as a mediator between humans and gods and the material culture that shaped the complex religion of ancient Egypt. Visitors can meet, in the frescoed rooms of Palazzo Mathis, deities such as Isis, Thoth, Shu, Horus, Taweret and Bes, each represented through a small object, the amulet, considered by the ancient Egyptians to be a powerful tool of protection and magic. The exhibition route is completed by a wooden tablet and two votive steles. These are objects from the storerooms of the Museo Egizio, many of which are on public display for the first time. The objects on display are the protagonists of a narrative that explains their symbolic meaning and the role they played in daily life.
