End: 10:00 The MUbatt – Museum of the Battle of Ceresole d’Alba opens free to the public every last Sunday of the month with guided tours to rediscover the history of the Battle of 1544. The museum reconstructs the clash in which the armies of Francesco I and Charles V faced each other with almost 30.000 soldiers for hegemony over Italian territory. The exhibition route leads among artifacts and historical evidence preserved through the centuries, inviting visitors to relive the phases of the battle and understand its role in the great wars of Italy. The narration also highlights the historical link between Ceresole d’Alba and Saint-Paul-de-Vence, united by the common memory of conflicts and by artifacts such as fortified walls and cannons that recall the shared past. A museum born from an international collaboration muBATT was created through cooperation between the Municipality of Ceresole d’Alba and the Municipality of Saint-Paul-de-Vence within the European SuCCeS project, supported by the INTERREG ALCOTRA program.
