ROSENCRANTZ E GUILDENSTERN SONO MORTI - STAGIONE TEATRALE 2026/2027

Address: via Ammiraglio Mirabello 3 Teatro Civico - 15057 Tortona For more than sixty years Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead by Tom Stoppard has been considered a classic of contemporary theatre, loved for its surreal humour and the depth of its reflections. This new staging rereads the text by blending, in the director's words, «the English humour of language, with the physical comedy of the Commedia dell'Arte». On stage, Francesco Pannofino and Francesco Acquaroli play an extraordinary pair of melancholy clowns, alongside Paolo Sassanelli in the role of the Company Manager. Through the ingenuous and farcical gaze of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, Hamlet is observed «through the keyhole», turning into an ironic and moving reflection on human existence. by Tom Stoppard with Francesco Pannofino, Francesco Acquaroli, Paolo Sassanelli and with Andrea Pannofino and Chiara Mascalzoni set design Luigi Ferrigno direction Alberto Rizzi production NUOVO TEATRO directed by Marco Balsamo in collaboration with Ippogrifo Produzioni and Comune di Verona-Estate Teatrale Veronese ETV in agreement with Arcadia & Ricono Ltd by kind permission of United Agents Ltd
