The dynamic is that of two couples of parents who have just met and are coming together to try to resolve - as adult and civilised people, as they believe themselves to be - a matter they initially think can be minimised: a quarrel that broke out in the little garden between their respective eleven-year-old children. But, little by little, the masks of benevolence, tolerance, good manners, political correctness, open-mindedness and moral uprightness crumble.
