Place: Gallerie d’Italia of Intesa Sanpaolo. Address: Piazza San Carlo 156 - Turin. Organizer: Gallerie d'Italia Commissioned by Intesa Sanpaolo – Gallerie d’Italia, Luca Campigotto undertakes a journey through a physical, political and sentimental Europe, suspended between past, present and future. From the easternmost borders, between Turkey, Armenia and Georgia, to the western coasts overlooking the Ocean, between Portugal and France; from the great North of the Svalbard Islands to the South of Lampedusa and the slopes of Etna, the photographer crosses territories and landscapes with an attentive gaze, capable of intertwining nature, memory and contemporaneity. A path that restores the complexity of a continent through its geographies, the traces of the past and the signs of the present. The exhibition brings together over sixty images that confirm Europe's irreducibility to a single definition, underlining the multiplicity of its natures and identities that Campigotto's photography manages to transform into images that are as spectacular as they are rich in meaning.
