Address: Via Enrico Cialdini, 4, 10100 Turin, TO From the end of January, CAM – Cultures And Mission in Turin, in Via Enrico Cialdini 4, hosts the exhibition Kirinyaga. Sacred roots, living identity, an exhibition route that invites visitors to explore the deep link between spirituality, cultural identity and tradition. Kirinyaga is the sacred mountain known as Mount Kenya. That is what the Kikuyu call it, the largest ethnic group in Kenya. In the exhibition, more than a hundred everyday objects, work tools, weapons, instruments for divination and for treatments in traditional medicine are interwoven. The exhibition route explores the places where the first Consolata missionaries arrived, through objects, historical images and testimonies that tell the great Kikuyu cultural tradition and the encounter with the missionaries. The exhibition is part of the mission of CAM, a Turin cultural centre committed to promoting encounters between cultures and spreading an open and informed vision of the contemporary world.
