Organizer: Comune di Bobbio Pellice The Fîra d’la Calà and Sagra della Mustardela is a traditional event held in Bobbio Pellice, in Val Pellice (province of Turin). This celebration combines the return of livestock from the summer pastures with the promotion of a typical local product: mustardela. The “Fîra d’la Calà” refers precisely to the “Fiera della Calata” or “descent,” that is, the moment when breeders bring the herds back down to the valley after the summer season spent in the alpine pastures. This event has ancient roots and is part of an annual cycle that highlights the deep bond between the community, the territory and the agricultural and pastoral traditions of Val Pellice. In this context, one of the most evocative moments is the livestock parade, a real spectacle that recalls the centuries-old practices of transhumance.
