Place: Nizza Monferrato The San Carlo Fair of Nizza Monferrato is an autumn event dedicated to the authentic gastronomic traditions of Piedmont. This event celebrates two excellences of local cuisine: cardo gobbo, a crunchy and precious vegetable that characterises the Monferrato vegetable garden, and bagna cauda, the famous hot sauce based on anchovies and garlic that represents the convivial soul of the Piedmontese table. In the fair’s numerous stands, visitors can taste these dishes in their most authentic setting, accompanied by selected local wines that enhance every nuance of the flavours. The streets of Nizza Monferrato are transformed into a large open-air market where tradition and local identity meet, creating an immersive experience in the flavours of Monferrato.
