Earthrise 26 – From the Ground

End: 19:00 At the center of the exhibition is clay, one of the first materials taken from the earth and transformed by human beings. A material that passes through water, fire, techniques, fragility and experimentation, becoming a field of relations between resources, territory, dwelling, extraction, tradition, technology, community and other forms of life. From the Ground arises from the tension between the Earth as the space we inhabit and the earth as matter to touch, transform and converse with. The exhibition is structured as a route of 11 projects: 9 by Italian designers - seven of which recount as many territories of the country through local materials, practices and knowledge - and 3 developed within the international residency of Kortrijk, presented in Turin thanks to the collaboration with Designregio Kortrijk.
