Light-years Away, a solo exhibition dedicated to one of the most authoritative figures in contemporary Italian photography. Created in collaboration with Galleria Studio G7 in Bologna and curated by Walter Guadagnini, the exhibition retraces over twenty years of research by the Bolognese artist, born in 1970 and recently also featured at the Quadriennale of Rome. Through a selection of works that span some of the most significant moments of his career, the exhibition offers a constant reflection on the photographic image, on its processes of construction, and on the never univocal relationship between photography and reality. Belonging to a generation formed in the passage from analog to digital, Tranchina has developed over time a practice that questions the boundaries between experience of reality, perception, and representation.
