Address: Palazzo Mandamentale - Council Chamber, Via Luigi Meschio 10, 28822 Cannobio, VB The exhibition is an anthological show by the contemporary painter Davide Baroggi: an artist born in Locarno in Switzerland in 1974, but active in Pavia. Davide Baroggi is part of the artist collective Gruppo Cosmo and is associated with the movement of the Italian New Savages. Davide Baroggi's visual research combines painterly sensitivity, material experimentation and conceptual reflection. His artistic production stands out for its metaphysical attention, the acidic and sometimes disturbing light and the layering of rapid brushstrokes. These elements become tools to explore themes such as identity, memory and the relationship between space and perception. In Baroggi's works compositional rigour and expressiveness coexist, in a balance between abstraction and figurative suggestion. Baroggi develops a personal language in which colour and matter dialogue with the surface, creating works that invite the observer to an immersive and contemplative experience.
