Mostra a Cannobio: Lo spazio ineffabile

The City of Cannobio is pleased to announce its collaboration with Gianni Cella , a central figure in Italian contemporary art. The exhibition project – curated by Marianna Cappia and coordinated by Marco Albertella – aims to enhance Gianni Cella’s forty-year career: starting from a widespread exhibition entitled Palloni gonfiati where five works will be hosted in emblematic and poetic places around the city, then continuing with Lo spazio ineffabile , a solo retrospective that will take place at Palazzo Parasi. Palloni Gonfiati presents a series of ironic and three-dimensional humanoid sculptures, with vivid colors and soft volumes. They will be on display until 25 October 2026. Lo Spazio Ineffabile is an exhibition journey that, through historic works and more recent pieces, reconstructs how Gianni Cella has brought delicacy, planning and emotional depth into a popular and playful imaginary, making his production an original and personal testimony of the contemporary.
