Neive, CN
A hill village in the Barbaresco zone with a well preserved medieval upper town of brick lanes and 18th-century palazzi. It is listed among I Borghi piu belli d'Italia and holds an Orange Flag tourism mark. It calls itself the Terra dei Quattro Vini for the four wines made in its territory: Barbaresco, Barbera, Dolcetto and Moscato.

- The Torre dell'Orologio, a 13th-century tower and the symbol of the old comune, at the top of the village
- Casaforte dei Conti Cotti di Ceres, a 13th-century fortified house in the upper town
- Palazzo dei Conti di Castelborgo, an 18th-century palace with gardens
- Chiesa dell'Arciconfraternita di San Michele, 18th century, by the locally born architect Giovanni Antonio Borgese, with a terracotta facade
- Chiesa dei Santi Pietro e Paolo of 1750, by Francesco Gallo, with a neoclassical front
Things to do
- Walk the full circuit of the upper town, it is steep and short and the brick lanes are the point
- Taste the four wines side by side rather than only Barbaresco
- Take the road down towards Barbaresco through the Gallina and Bricco di Neive crus
- Arrive by train from Alba, the station reopened in 2023
