It takes place in Località Impianti Sportivi, Luserna San Giovanni. The regional sheet describes the program as follows: In Val Pellice, in the municipality of Luserna San Giovanni since 1256 the Fiera dei Santi has been organized in November. In the Middle Ages, once the herds had come down from the alpine pastures and the stocks for winter had begun, this was the occasion for the exchange of goods such as milk and cheeses, wool, hemp and flax and later of valuable products such as parchment, almonds, wine, iron, salt and lemons. It is handed down that following a petition dated 1562 and sent by the local community to the Duke of Savoy, confirmation was obtained that the Fiera di Luserna San Giovanni would become the Fiera dei Santi "on the day of the feast of all Saints and for the following days" Today the regional fair, traditionally scheduled on 1 and 2 November in Luserna, continues to represent an important showcase of the local livestock reality: herds parade here with some breeders in historical costume and it is possible

Viktor Frankl, an Austrian psychiatrist, was also interned at Auschwitz and, immediately after liberation, wrote a book about the experience and about those who, just like Nakache, managed to overcome that terrible ordeal. Venue: Teatro Regio Torino. Organizer: Teatro Regio Torino Iris | Pietro Mascagni There is no point beating around the bush: Mascagni's works after Cavalleria rusticana, all different from one another, were overshadowed by the fame of the first. A fate that is unjust in many respects, given their musical quality. Iris is one of these hidden gems: first performed in 1898, it is the first case of an Italian opera set in Japan and anticipates some ideas that would shortly be found in Madama Butterfly (with the same librettist, Luigi Illica, incidentally). But unlike Puccini's, Mascagni's Japan is idealized and completely detached from reality, as befits a symbolist drama: in an idyllic place, among flowers, bamboo and streams, two agents of evil are lurking. The victim is a girl whom Illica and Mascagni manage to follow with masterful skill through the tortuous paths of her mind, where dreams and childhood memories clash with the horror of the world, the abduction for the purpose of sexual abuse and finally the agony on the mysterious border between life and death. Their creation explores an intimate side of femininity, in this case

Venue: Teatro Regio Torino. Organiser: Teatro Regio Torino La bohème | Ruggero Leoncavallo Puccini was not the only one to write an opera based on the Scènes de la vie de bohème by Henri Murger: Ruggero Leoncavallo too, in the same years, had dedicated an opera to the adventures, jokes, loves and sorrows of the young bohemians of Paris. Time has favoured Puccini's version, which has remained firmly in the repertoire, while Leoncavallo's version, staged a year later, in 1897, was forgotten. Right here at the Regio, the birthplace of the Puccini masterpiece, Leoncavallo's La bohème is brought back to the public in a rare staging opportunity, which will allow the audience to observe Marcello, Rodolfo, Colline, Schaunard and a city teeming with life with a different gaze, more faithful to Murger's text and perhaps also more realistic, but with music that does not renounce melodic effusion, the taste for pastiche, the rapid succession of moments of playful lightness and dramatic tension: all things in which the author of Pagliacci has few rivals. The female characters also see the presence of Eufemia, which is added to the characters, among the

For over fifty years Yayoi Kusama has been creating immersive environments capable of completely enveloping visitors and leading them inside her visual universe. Through light, reflections and repetitions, the installation transforms the space into a perceptual experience suspended between wonder and disorientation: luminous points and mirrored surfaces generate the illusion of a space with an infinite dimension, in continuous expansion. The obsessive repetition of forms and patterns, a distinctive element of the artist’s research, becomes a tool for exploring the concept of self-dissolution, self-obliteration, overcoming the boundaries between individual and environment and opening up to an expanded perception of space and universe. Born in 1929 in Mastumoto, Japan, Yayoi Kusama developed her practice through painting, sculpture, video, performance and installations. Among the first artists to experiment

The project begins with the figure of Laure, the woman portrayed by Manet, whose identity has long been obscured in art history by a previous title that reduced her biographical complexity to a simple racial classification. Chris Ofili restores centrality to her figure and reflects on the way images help define identities. In his paintings and drawings, Ofili weaves together historical references, personal experiences, cultural memory and different figurative traditions, building a visu

Marisa Merz. La danza delle ore

Exhibitions and museums
Rivoli, Rivoli
Da giovedì 29.10.2026 a domenica 4.04.2027
Biglietto intero: 10,00 € ; Biglietto ridotto: 6,50 €

Venue: Castello di Rivoli | Museo d’Arte Contemporanea. Address: Piazza Mafalda di Savoia Rivoli (TO) The celebration of the centenary of the birth of Marisa Merz is transformed into an extraordinary retrospective structured in three acts that embrace the entire artistic production of the only female exponent of Arte Povera. This unprecedented exhibition path explores the open and ever-metamorphosing nature of her work, integrating historical installations, unpublished works and dialogues with contemporary creation. At the Manica Lunga of the Castello di Rivoli, the exhibition curated by Francesco Manacorda and Marianna Vecellio recreates the monumental installation E il naufragar m’è dolce in questo mare, originally presented in 1980. The section delves into the tension toward the revelation of the invisible and metaphysical visions, intertwining the work of the Turin-born master with an expanded retrospective that welcomes international artists such as Leonor Antunes, Micol Assaël, Beatrice Bonino, Miriam Cahn, Tacita Dean, Thea Djordjadze, Lara Favaretto, Daiga Grantina, Armineh Negahdari and Solange Pessoa.

L’Intruso Giuseppe Caccavale nell’Oltretempo

Torino, Torino
Da giovedì 29.10.2026 a domenica 4.04.2027
Biglietto intero: 10,00 € ; Biglietto ridotto: 8,00 €

Venue: GAM – Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea. Address: Via Magenta, 31 Torino (TO) The exhibition project sees the artist Giuseppe Caccavale take part as an “intruder” in the QUINTA RISONANZA, called upon to establish a fruitful dialogue with the historical heritage of the GAM – Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Turin. Under the curatorial guidance of Chiara Bertola and Virginia Lupo, the artist explored the rich collections housed in the museum's storage rooms, carefully selecting a core group of plaster casts and a series of paintings dedicated to mountain landscapes, focusing on the peaks that outline the horizon of Turin. The selection of works responds to a careful search for poetic, formal and iconographic correspondences. The plaster casts, suspended in their nature between preparatory model and finished work, together with the depictions of the mountains — real and at the same time symbolic images — become privileged interlocutors of Giuseppe Caccavale's expressive language, long oriented toward the transmission of knowledge, visual memory and writing understood as a gesture of relation. The installation, conceived specifically for the Spazio del Contempor

Venue: GAM – Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea. Address: Via Magenta, 31 Torino (TO) On the occasion of the celebrations for the centenary of Marisa Merz's birth, three important institutions, Fondazione Merz, Castello di Rivoli - Museo d'Arte Contemporanea and GAM – Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Torino, are organizing together an exhibition dedicated to the artist, conceived in three acts and curated by a curatorial team for each exhibition venue. Marisa Merz, the only female protagonist of the Arte Povera movement, used multiple expressive languages: painting, sculpture, drawing, video and installation. The three chapters aim to create a choral and multifaceted portrait that reflects the depth of her contribution to the evolution of Italian and global art. The exhibition at Castello di Rivoli starts from the reconstruction of “E il naufragar m’è dolce in questo mare”, an important exhibition project that the artist presented in 1980 at the Turin gallery Tucci Russo and which she then repeated on the occasion of the Venice Biennale of Art the same year. In line with the artist's practice, the installation will constitute the exhibition core from which will branch

Venue: Museo Nazionale della Montagna. Address: Piazzale Monte dei Cappuccini 7. End: 18:00 The Museo Nazionale della Montagna “Duca degli Abruzzi” presents the exhibition GRADO ZERO. The mountain beyond genres, an exhibition project curated by Andrea Lerda and Linda Cottino, with the prestigious collaboration of anthropologist Michela Fusaschi. The exhibition unfolds through a fruitful dialogue between contemporary works of art and precious historical materials from authoritative institutions in the cross-border Alpine area. The research path starts from the deep need to decenter the hegemonic masculinity that has historically characterized and shaped the universe of the highlands, with the aim of repositioning the female figure within a narrative from which it has been unfairly excluded. The exhibition thus aims to outline the imagery of a realizable utopia: a mountain beyond genres. Among the protagonists stand out the works of internationally renowned artists including Maria Lai, Marwa Arsanios, Cleo Fariselli, Kate Gilmore, Silvia Margaria, Caterina Morigi and Flaminia Veronesi. Within the framework of the path, the installation Al Bruc is also presented

Torino, Torino
Da venerdì 23.10.2026 a domenica 27.06.2027
Biglietto intero: 18,00 € ; Biglietto ridotto: 15,00 €

Location: MAO – Museum of Oriental Art. Address: via San Domenico, 11 Turin (TO) Conceived as a site-specific project involving the entire MAO Museum of Oriental Art in Turin, the exhibition path transforms the historic architecture of Palazzo Mazzonis into a narrative device in which Song Dong’s works dialogue with the permanent collections. The exhibition retraces over thirty years of research by the Beijing-based artist, highlighting a practice capable of intertwining private memory, individual experience and the social transformations of contemporary China. Song Dong’s research has its roots in the Taoist philosophy of Laozi and Zhuangzi and in Zen thought, combined with the languages of Arte Povera, Mono-Ha, Minimalism and Conceptual Art. Through minimal gestures and the use of everyday materials, the artist reflects on the impermanence and fragility of existence. Among the main focuses stands out the monumental installation Waste Not, inspired by Marcel Duchamp’s ready-made, which gathers over 10.000 objects accumulated by the artist’s mother, Zhao Xiangyuan. The exhibition also presents works on family relationships such as Touching My Father and My Daugh
