Organiser: GAM - Galleria d'Arte Moderna In the context of the QUARTA RISONANZA, the GAM of Turin dedicates a broad exhibition to its collections of twentieth-century works on paper, curated by Fabio Cafagna and Elena Volpato The exhibition brings together for the first time a large and significant selection of works on paper – over 600 drawings, watercolours, engravings and paintings – arranged in twenty-one sections, crossing the main artistic currents of the twentieth century and revealing the artists’ freest and most intimate workshop: they preserve the “before” of invention and the “after” of reconsideration, the phase of elaboration and that of amplification, the study and the variation. A heritage that has grown over time also thanks to the support of the Fondazione Guido ed Ettore De Fornaris and the Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT, which have made a decisive contribution to enriching the GAM collections.
