Palazzo Viani Dugnani, Ruga 44, 28922 Verbania, VB The Museo del Paesaggio in Verbania hosts the exhibition of a great contemporary landscape artist, Tullio Pericoli, curated by Elena Pontiggia. An exhibition itinerary of 50 works, half of them unseen, accompanies the visitor inside the artist's visual universe, born in 1936 and active as painter, draughtsman, illustrator and writer. For Pericoli the landscape becomes story, memory and tension, offering a profound look at the fragilities and transformations of today's world. “Terre Inquiete” presents a significant selection of Pericoli's research, always centred on the theme of nature. However, these are not traditional landscapes: landscape becomes an expressive language, a tool for interpreting reality. As the artist states, the point is not to faithfully represent the world, but to filter it through painting, returning sensations, anxieties and reflections on the present.
