Venue: Museo Valdese. Address: Via Beckwith, 3 Torre Pellice (TO) The figure of the predator has accompanied human imagination for centuries. Through stories, contemporary chronicles, archive documents and traditional legends, local populations have often described themselves and their identity precisely thanks to the relationship woven with animals and the surrounding territory. In this context, the wild figure becomes an emblematic mirror of the fears, hopes and latent contradictions of society, coming to embody in turn the uncontaminated element, the looming danger, the desire for freedom and mystery. Set up inside the ethnographic section of the Museo Valdese, this exhibition route offers an evocative journey into the daily life of Alpine communities between the end of the nineteenth century and the first decades of the twentieth century. The itinerary highlights original artefacts, historical testimonies, texts curated by Davide Rosso and illustrations by Manuela Rosso, capable of conveying the essence of a mountain world inextricably linked to nature. The objects on display become tools for reading to deepen the culture
