"Sotto osservazione" Opere di Giorgio Grosso e Piergiorgio Panelli

Address: Piazza 31 Martiri, 1, 15048 Valenza AL, Italy On Friday 9 October at 18.00, at the Centro Comunale di Cultura (Piazza XXXI Martiri,1 – Valenza), the exhibition “Sotto osservazione” will open, a two-person show by sculptor Giorgio Grosso and painter Piergiorgio Panelli. The exhibition brings together the most recent works of the two artists in a dialogue between the abstract expressionism with naturalist themes of Panelli’s paintings and Grosso’s sculptures in recycled plastic that tell of the metamorphosis of matter into abstract and natural forms. In a contamination between gesture, form and slowed-down temporality, the works are expressions of an aesthetic and ethical transformation of matter. The matter manipulated by the artists is changeable and challenges traditional concepts of space and time. In contemporaneity one lives “sotto osservazione” in a reality in constant evolution in which an “emotional sequestration” is felt that, when grasped by the artists, brings one closer to eternal beauty.
