In the kingdom of giant flowers”, the exhibition curated by Giulia Caffaro that celebrates one of the artist from Turin’s most iconic cycles. Born starting in the nineteen fifties, Gazzera’s famous giant flowers conquer the canvas until they become its absolute protagonists. A selection of paintings from the Romano Gazzera Archive, accompanied by photographs, documents and period materials, tells of their evolution and restores a creative season in which nature takes on monumental forms, transforming itself into an expression of energy and imagination. The exhibition route also invites visitors to rediscover the figure of Romano Gazzera and the personal and immediately recognisable language with which he succeeded in carving out an original place for himself in twentieth-century Italian art.
