Rivelazioni e confronti tra i nostri tesori
17 June 2026 — 8 November 2026 · Torino

Venue: Various locations. Address: Various locations, Via Accademia Albertina, 8, 10123 Turin, TO A precious seventeenth-century painting by Sassoferrato will be the guest of honour of this display, in comparison with another significant canvas by the same artist, owned by the Albertina. A new opportunity to enhance the great historical-artistic heritage of the Academy of Fine Arts, which reveals to the public, at the same time, the outcome of new significant restorations, exhibiting paintings and drawings that are usually inaccessible. Among these is a rare canvas by Gandini del Grano, a great interpreter of painting in Parma in the early sixteenth century, and also the precious seventeenth-century drawings by Nicolas Lagneau, a gift from King Carlo Alberto to his Academy, and an interesting discovery on twentieth-century painting featuring Enrico Thovez. Through Revelations and Comparisons, paintings rarely visible resurface to dialogue with one another, creating paths of comparison between artists, eras and different sensibilities. Each exhibition thus becomes a unique opportunity to encounter works that, because of their fragility, rarity or location, can hardly be admired by the public.
