Ricordé. Un archivio, un paese, una mostra fotografica

Address: Zizzola – Casa dei braidesi, – – (CN), Strada Fey, 12042 Bra, CN Bra, in the villa called the Zizzola that dominates the city, hosts the exhibition “Ricordé. An archive, a town, a photographic exhibition” This exhibition celebrates the rediscovery and recovery of the Studio Bruno Risso photographic archive: over 30.000 images, including glass plates, negatives and prints, re-emerge after decades to return faces, places and stories of the city. The exhibition route offers a selection of images, carefully hand-printed in the darkroom by the curator. The installation is structured around an imposing family-tree sculpture by the international artist Giovanni Borgarello, from which printed portraits on glass are suspended to evoke the numerous recovered plates: a true city memory tree. Also on display is the wooden optical bench from the late nineteenth century, through which these photographic portraits on glass were taken.
