Address: Parco Fluviale Gesso e Stura, Cuneo CN, Italy. End: 18:00 They come from faraway territories, often introduced by humans, and manage to adapt so well that they put local biodiversity at serious risk. They are exotic invasive plant species, a silent but impactful presence for our area, which is now being shown to the public in a completely new light. From Monday 7 to Sunday 20 September, the Casa del Fiume will host the exhibition "ERBARIO ALIENO ITINERANTE | Exotic invasive plants seen up close". The exhibition presents a creative and unconventional collection of fruits, seeds, leaves and flowers collected in the Crava-Morozzo Nature Reserve, reinterpreted in the form of an artistic and educational herbarium. The initiative is part of the Germin.Alien project – supported by Fondazione CRC, coordinated by the Ente di Gestione delle Aree Protette delle Alpi Marittime and curated by botanist Davide Barberis and researcher Valentina Carasso – which studies the mechanisms of settlement and germination of these plant species. The issue in Piedmont is of primary importance for environmental protection, so much so that it is regulated by specific regional lists and plans
