MeleMiele
13 November 2026 — 16 November 2026 · Baceno

Baceno celebrates MeleMiele in November, the festival that puts apples and honey from the valleys of upper Ossola at the center. Baceno, a village in the Antigorio Valley in upper Ossola, lies in a land of mountains, woods and small-scale farming where mountain fruit growing and beekeeping survive on sunny slopes. The MeleMiele festival celebrates these two products with stalls where producers display mountain apples, often of ancient varieties, and honeys in different types, from high-altitude wildflower honey to rhododendron honey, together with juices, jams and beehive products. The food stands offer apple- and honey-based desserts and dishes from Ossola tradition, from alpine cheeses to polenta, accompanied by local products. The festival combines gastronomy with craft markets, workshops on the world of bees, live music and activities for families. Baceno preserves one of the most important churches in Ossola, the monumental San Gaudenzio, rich in art and overlooking the valley, a witness to the village's ancient importance. The Antigorio Valley and the nearby Formazza Valley offer visitors waterfalls, such as that of Toce among the most
