Place: Church of San Bernardino. Address: Church of San Bernardino, Via Duomo 29, 13100 Vercelli, VC Saturday 3, Sunday 4, Saturday 10, Sunday 11, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2026, the church of San Bernardino in Vercelli (via Duomo 29) hosts the exhibition “Martyria. History of the churches of Vercelli, of their martyrs and of the tortures”. The initiative, promoted by the association La Rete in collaboration with the Confraternity of San Bernardino and Amnesty International, can be visited from 10.00 to 12.30 and from 14.30 to 18.00, with no reservation required and with free offer, with guided tours by the volunteers of La Rete. The exhibition offers a journey through the Vercelli churches dedicated to the martyrs, including those that no longer exist today, revealing biographies, architecture and historical injustices. The exhibition route combines about twenty themed panels with precious relics and historical documents preserved by the Confraternity of the Good Death, including the “Book of the Executed”. Extraordinary is the exhibition, for the first time in Vercelli, of torture instruments: among these stands out the wheel of the martyrdom of Saint Catherine of Alexandria, made thanks to research, icons and historical sources linked to the
