Marisa Merz. La danza delle ore

Address: Piazza Mafalda di Savoia Rivoli (TO) The celebration of the centenary of the birth of Marisa Merz is transformed into an extraordinary retrospective structured in three acts that embrace the entire artistic production of the only female exponent of Arte Povera. This unprecedented exhibition path explores the open and ever-metamorphosing nature of her work, integrating historical installations, unpublished works and dialogues with contemporary creation. At the Manica Lunga of the Castello di Rivoli, the exhibition curated by Francesco Manacorda and Marianna Vecellio recreates the monumental installation E il naufragar m’è dolce in questo mare, originally presented in 1980. The section delves into the tension toward the revelation of the invisible and metaphysical visions, intertwining the work of the Turin-born master with an expanded retrospective that welcomes international artists such as Leonor Antunes, Micol Assaël, Beatrice Bonino, Miriam Cahn, Tacita Dean, Thea Djordjadze, Lara Favaretto, Daiga Grantina, Armineh Negahdari and Solange Pessoa.
