Isabella has devoted her life to protecting Michele, her disabled son whom she considers her greatest strength; Sandra, on the other hand, grew up trying to carve out her own space within a family balance that often made her feel on the margins. Through the confrontation between mother and daughter, the play explores in depth the themes of acceptance, disability and family bonds, questioning what it means to be normal.
