End: 19:00 From 13 September to 1st November 2026, the historic rooms of the Castle of Racconigi will be transformed into a bridge between Europe and the Far East. Awaiting visitors will be the exhibition "Mirrors of Japan. Stefano Faravelli at the Castle of Racconigi", an extraordinary display that for the first time brings together and reveals to the public the original notebooks, albums, watercolours and working tools of Stefano Faravelli. The artist, painter and orientalist, is renowned for being one of the pioneers who opened the way in Italy to the carnet de voyage genre. A dialogue between real Japan and the Japan imagined by the Savoy court The special feature of the exhibition, curated by Alessandra Giovannini Luca and Laura Gallo, lies in its setting inside the Chinese Apartment of the Castle. Faravelli's works and working materials will be placed in relation to the historic Savoy rooms which, at the beginning of the twentieth century, were renamed the "Japanese Apartment".
