The Norwegian pianist's vast and award-winning discography is testimony to a figure of great artistic and intellectual depth, who on this occasion tackles a demanding and visionary repertoire: the three Sonatas, composed between 1820 and 1822 in complete deafness, represent the composer's pianistic testament and at the same time one of the absolute peaks of the piano literature.
