I Concerti del Lingotto. Les Musiciens du Louvre | Marc Minkowski

Address: Via Nizza 280 With more than forty years of artistic experience behind him, Marc Minkowski returns to the Lingotto with his ensemble Les Musiciens du Louvre to conclude the 2026-2027 Season of Lingotto Musica with the “springtime” freshness of Mendelssohn’s Symphonies. Founded in 1982 with the intention of bringing the French Baroque repertoire to light on period instruments, over the decades the ensemble has progressively expanded its repertoire to embrace Classicism and Romanticism, without ever abandoning the philological rigor that sets it apart. The protagonist of the evening is Mendelssohn, with the twin Symphonies Scottish and Italian, both born from the young Mendelssohn’s journeys across Europe: these are two sound watercolors of extraordinary freshness, capable of evoking landscapes, atmospheres and colors with the spirit of romantic wonder typical of the German composer.
