Address: Via Nizza 280 John Eliot Gardiner is a figure who needs no introduction: founder of the Monteverdi Choir, the English Baroque Soloists and the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique, he is one of the absolute leading figures in historically informed performance practice. This time he returns to the Lingotto with a new project, the culmination of a life dedicated to music: Springhead Constellation, founded in 2024 and based in Gardiner’s native village, was born from the conviction that creativity does not exist in isolation but is shaped by the ecosystems, histories and landscapes that surround it and aims to connect music with the other arts and the environment, organizing accessible concerts and ambitious touring projects. The young Constellation Orchestra, the project’s operational instrument, embraces a repertoire ranging from Baroque to contemporary music and makes its debut at the Lingotto with Beethoven, the composer to whom Gardiner dedicated a complete recording of the Symphonies with the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique.
