Gloria

Place: Teatro Regio Torino. Organizer: Teatro Regio Torino | 12 March 2027 Gloria Andrea Battistoni A hymn to life that unites the earth and the sacred. Music Director Andrea Battistoni chooses two rare and precious titles of dazzling energy: Piemonte by Sinigaglia and Mascagni’s Messa di Gloria. The Turin master’s Suite gives voice to the simple joys of peasant life, from spring games to Carnival pranks, reworking Piedmont folk songs with the sumptuous colors of the symphony orchestra. The Mass will be a happy discovery for fans of Cavalleria rusticana: they will find there the same sense of spontaneous religiosity in a broader and more elaborated form, with an explosion of lyricism entrusted to the superb voices of Dmitry Korchak and Franco Vassallo.
