Organizer: Comune di Moncalvo The Fiera Nazionale di Sua Maestà il Bue Grasso of Moncalvo is an event that, every December, transforms the town into the heart of the Asti Monferrato area. It is, in fact, an event with a centuries-long history, boasting over 380 editions, and solemnly celebrating the excellence of the Piedmontese cattle breed. This fair has its roots deeply in local history, bearing witness to an indissoluble bond between Moncalvo and its agricultural and livestock vocation. It is an event that has managed to keep intact the charm and allure of bygone times. At the same time, it has evolved to best enhance the prized meat of Fassone Piemontese. In particular that of the “giants white” which, with their weight that can exceed 10 quintals, are a true spectacle to behold.
