Venue: Carrù. Organizer: Ente Fiera Bue Grasso di Carrù The Fiera Nazionale del Bue Grasso di Carrù is a historic and iconic event in Piedmont, an appointment held every December that celebrates the excellence of the Piemontese cattle breed. Its origins are ancient, dating back as far as 1473 for livestock markets and becoming established as a fair from 1910. This event, classified as an international trade show, is a point of reference for breeders and gastronomy enthusiasts. For 2026 the appointment is set for 17 December. The beating heart of the Bue Grasso Fair is the livestock show, which takes place at the Foro Boario in Piazza Mercato. Here, breeders present their imposing Bue and Manzo animals of the Piemontese breed, animals with their characteristic white coat, known for the extraordinary quality of their meat. The competition is fierce, culminating in the awarding of the best specimens and the prestigious “Bue d’Oro”, a recognition not only for the animals, but also for figures who have distinguished themselves in various fields. The heaviest ox is often also awarded, and it can exceed 1.400 kilograms. The fair
