An event with very ancient origins, tracing back to the cattle markets of 1473, the Bue Grasso Fair of Carrù, an important town in the province of Cuneo, has been held since 15 December 1910. Established by the will of the Municipal Administration in order to remedy the serious shortage of animals for slaughter and the consequent increase in meat prices, over the years it has become a symbol of a land rich in history linked to cattle breeding. The undisputed star of the Fair is the Piedmontese breed cattle: a majestic and imposing animal that is today rightly considered an absolute excellence, known throughout the world for the unmistakable quality of its meat (the result of very careful selection, feeding and monitoring). The event focuses on the livestock show, which includes various awards for three categories of cattle, but it also hosts within it the gastronomic event “Bollito non stop”, which offers the chance to taste the famous mixed boiled meat, the king dish of Piedmont, made up of tongue, head, lean meat and cotechino (served with mashed potatoes), together with local cheeses and wines and accompanied by the famous
