Festa patronale San Gaudenzio 2027

On 22 January 2027, Novara celebrates San Gaudenzio, its beloved patron saint, in an explosion of faith and tradition. The most solemn moment is the "Ceremony of the Flower" in the Basilica, where a chandelier of flowers pays homage to the Saint’s relics after the opening of the scuro. The streets of the city centre come alive with the large trade fair, while the air fills with the fragrance of the typical "bread of San Gaudenzio". The community gathers around the Dome of San Gaudenzio, symbol of the city, living a day of profound cultural identity that unites religious solemnity and joyful popular conviviality.
