Broadway Time – La Grande Musica Americana

Location: Teatro Coccia. Organizer: Fondazione Teatro Coccia 11.30 a dive into the golden age of the theaters of New York at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, born to celebrate the modern American song contained in the legendary Great American Songbook. Pioneers and giants such as Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin and Richard Rodgers – still a global source of inspiration today – come back to life through careful repertoire research. The quartet reinterprets these historic compositions seeking a current, fresh and original sound, without ever moving away from the elegance of the great jazz tradition. The concert will be introduced by a History of Jazz curated by Gianni Lucini.
