Canelli in teatro - MEDEA, 10 ANNI DI STRADA

End: 20:00 Medea on the road is not simply a show: it is an experience that has gone through us and that we hope will likewise go through and shake the audience that follows us. We tried to tell the story of some thousands of human beings who left their country with the dream of a better life in Italy. A dream that shattered on contact with a reality that is extremely harsh to live in. From the complex theme of migration we chose to tell the phenomenon concerning those women, strange yet somehow familiar, whom we catch out of the corner of our eye when travelling along the streets of every city: women turned into slaves in the prostitution racket. The written text reached by Fabrizio Sinisi and Elena Cotugno stands in the line of free rewritings of the myth of Medea, revealing to today's spectator the “tragedy of the foreigner” with the force of the Greek myth. What we are offering the audience is an experience that goes beyond simply attending a theatre performance. The spectators, no more than seven, are invited to climb onto a van, an old 94 model fitted out by Filippo Sarcinelli that recalls a little theatre, or rather a brothel
