Assoluto

Place: Teatro Regio Torino. Organizer: Teatro Regio Torino | 15 February 2027 Absolute Grigory Sokolov An authentic legend of our time, Grigory Sokolov embodies the purest essence of pianism: an art of his that rejects compromise and lives solely in the unrepeatable instant of the concert. An inspiration that, for the first time, enters the Teatro Regio programme, for an evening that sees him as the undisputed protagonist. Equally appreciated by connoisseurs and amateurs for the almost mystical intensity of his performances and for his boundless knowledge of the piano repertoire, the artist has a very intimate relationship with music: «I do not play to order – he stated in an interview – I play only what I wish to play, indeed, only what I wish to play at that very moment. Each piece must arouse in me a burning desire».
