Al Santuario degli Angeli una mostra dedicata a San Francesco d’Assisi

End: 19:00 A journey through art, spirituality and reflection on the values of peace and fraternity will accompany visitors to the Sanctuary of Madonna degli Angeli in Cuneo. From 18 September to 25 October 2026 it will be possible to visit the exhibition “LAUDATO SIE”, set up on the occasion of the Holy Year dedicated to the eighth centenary of the passing and death of Saint Francis of Assisi, which took place in 1226. The initiative is promoted by the Sanctuary of Madonna degli Angeli with the patronage of the City of Cuneo and the collaboration of the provincial Acli of Cuneo, which in 2026 are celebrating the 80th anniversary of the association’s founding. The exhibition proposes a dialogue between different forms of expression. In the side corridor of the Sanctuary, painters, sculptors and artists present works inspired by the life, thought and spirituality of Saint Francis, offering visitors different interpretations of the figure of the saint and his message. Particularly evocative is also the installation in the Chapel of the Crucifix, where it is possible to admire the first “Eucharistic” nativity scene, set in Greccio in 1223, a symbolic place of the Franciscan tradition.
