A Oleggio la mostra fotografica "Altrove": fotografie di Serena Merletti a cura di Ilaria Traverso

Venue: Circolo di Confusione. Address: Vicolo Gola, 3, Oleggio There is a moment, in every journey, when the body stays but the mind goes elsewhere. Serena Merletti, a photographer from Oleggio who lives in Berlin, has spent years chasing that very moment: not the souvenir, not the postcard shot, but the fleeting frame of someone waiting, thinking, sleeping, with their mind elsewhere. "Altrove" gathers photographs taken between 2019 and 2025 across four continents - India, Morocco, Mexico, Guatemala, Peru, Jordan, Brazil, Vietnam and several European cities. It is not a travel exhibition, and it does not photograph countries: it photographs people within the spaces they inhabit, even if only for an instant. People who, at that moment, are elsewhere - just like the author herself, present in body but always a little elsewhere in mind, between Barcelona, Berlin and half the world. The project was born from the collaboration with Ilaria Traverso, who follows and promotes Serena's work, always believing in her talent and her vision. The exhibition can be visited on 3-4 and 10-11 October.
