7° Sagra del Mirtillo

Among the hills of Alto Vergante, overlooking Lake Maggiore, the hamlet of Fosseno, in the municipality of Nebbiuno, celebrates every year the traditional Sagra del Mirtillo, an event dedicated to one of the symbol fruits of summer and the local woods. The event draws visitors and families in a convivial atmosphere, where nature, gastronomy and fun meet. The star of the festival is the blueberry, enhanced in original recipes and gastronomic specialties such as the famous blueberry risotto, together with grills, traditional dishes and other offerings prepared by the volunteers of the Nuova Famiglia Fossenese del Cucù, a historic association that for years has safeguarded and promoted the traditions of the village. Alongside the food offering, the event features live music, dancing evenings and entertainment moments that enliven the town, giving visitors the chance to spend pleasant evenings immersed in the greenery of the hills overlooking Lake Maggiore.
