Il corpo della Citta’. Moda e arti tra Liberty e modernità 1884 – 1961
Place: Palazzo Madama - Civic Museum of Ancient Art. Address: Piazza Castello, 10 Turin is a city that has managed to reinvent itself several times throughout its history. After losing its role as capital of the Kingdom of Italy in 1865, it built new identities through industry, culture, fashion, art and innovation. It is precisely this process of transformation that is the starting point of The body of the city, the new exhibition at Palazzo Madama that recounts a century of Turin history through the body: represented, dressed, disciplined, liberated and transformed by the profound evolutions of modern society. In ideal continuity with the exhibition MonumenTo. The shape of memory, the project offers an original point of view through which to observe the evolution of the city through the body, understood not only as an artistic subject, but as a space in which social, economic and cultural changes are reflected, an ideal place of intersection between fashion, art and urban transformations. If MonumenTo questioned the relationship between the city and monuments, The body of the city shifts the gaze onto people, onto the intimate relationship that binds the forms of the city to those of the pe

CleanALP
Place: Val Susa. Address: Val Susa, Localita' Baraccone 11, 10050 San Didero, TO Nature makes every human activity possible, our very existence itself. The Alps, in particular, are the reason why the area of central-southern Europe has always been one of the most prosperous on the planet: water, energy, raw materials, food... The effects of the benefits of this extraordinary environment extend as far as the distant plains and the sea. Often however, after having admired and enjoyed its beauty and the services it provides, we experience the Alpine nature almost as an encumbrance, like a beautiful piece of furniture that at a certain point becomes “too much”. In reality, this is not the case and if we take a few moments each day to observe the world around us, in any situation, we realise how rich, strong, generous and wonderful the Alpine environment is. The CleanAlp project protects and enhances it together with hundreds of enthusiasts, placing these territories and these communities at the centre of attention.

A Piedmontese example of modern garden tourism, Soul Gardens intends to take visitors to discover the villas and gardens that dot Lake Maggiore, Lake Orta and the Ossola Valleys in upper Piedmont. This is not only a journey for the eyes, but a journey of the heart. The project includes great historic residences and botanical gardens, already well known to the general public. The route therefore winds through typical blooms, architecture, works of art, history and, above all, emotions. All that remains is to set off. Festa dei cornuti
In Granozzo con Monticello, one of the most ironic and popular festivals of the Novara area takes place: the Festa dei Cornuti, an event that combines joking, conviviality and village tradition. The atmosphere comes alive already from the first hours of the evening, when the village is filled with music, laughter and tables laden with local specialties. The guests, including many long-time residents of the village, gladly take part in the collective game by wearing scenic horns, the symbol of the festival and an excuse to tease one another and laugh together. Food is the star: hot dishes, grills, local cured meats, homemade sweets and generous wine accompany the evenings, creating a simple and festive mood. Alongside the food, there is live music, folk dancing, entertainment, lotteries and moments that recall local folklore. The Pro Loco handles the organization of the event by involving volunteers and associations, turning the festival into an opportunity for social life that fills the village with voices and movement. Taking part means immersing oneself in a light-hearted and playful ritual, in which the community comes together, recognizes itself and renews a tradition that is part of its identity.
80° Sagra del peperone quadrato d’Asti
In Motta di Costigliole d’Asti, the summer season brings with it an event now deeply rooted in the fabric of the community: the Peperone Quadrato Festival, an event that celebrates one of the symbols of local agriculture. The pepper, in its square and fleshy variety, has always been a prized crop in this area of Piedmont, appreciated for its sweetness, texture and versatility in cooking. During the event, the hamlet comes alive with a mix of flavours, traditions and conviviality: the food and wine stands offer numerous pepper-based recipes, from the simplest to the most creative, alongside typical Piedmont dishes and local wines. The smell of grilled or stuffed peppers spreads through the streets, while theatrical performances, concerts, games for children, craft markets and sports activities come to life in the squares and courtyards. The festival is not only a culinary occasion, but also a moment of gathering that involves the whole community, from local associations to producers, from artists to visitors. The village thus turns into a large open-air living room, where one can rediscover the value of the land and the beauty of tradition,

42° Sagra del mais
Among the rice fields and fields of the Vercelli area, Motta de’ Conti dedicates a festival to corn, a grain that has nourished generations and that still today represents a pillar of farmhouse food. The festival is a tribute to simplicity and to the land, which every year gives abundance and taste. During the event, you can enjoy corn-based dishes in all its forms: polenta with meat sauces, fried polenta, corn sweets, rustic soups and dishes made with corn flour. The programme is enriched by agricultural exhibitions, markets, educational workshops and musical performances. A festival that looks to the roots, values farm work and invites people to rediscover the value of simple things, shared around a laid table.
34° Festa dell’agnolotto e della tinca in carpione
In Cantarana, in the Asti area, the Agnolotto and Tinca in Carpione Festival brings together two symbols of Piedmontese gastronomic tradition. The agnolotti, stuffed and prepared according to local cuisine, meet tinca in carpione, a historic dish that tells of the ancient relationship with the waters and preservation techniques. The food stands offer these specialties in a journey of flavours that enhances local ingredients and recipes, accompanied by local wines. The atmosphere is that of village festivals, among shared tables, music and the pleasure of rediscovering dishes that speak of history and identity.

45° Festa dell’Ospitalità
At the heart of the event are the Pro Loco food stands, where the most authentic flavours of Piedmontese and Ovada tradition are offered. Among the specialties there are no shortages of polenta with ragù, mushroom sauce, gorgonzola or horse stew and ravioli with ragù, mushroom sauce or horse stew., cured meats, fries and sweets prepared according to local recipes, accompanied by wines from the area. Every evening is enlivened by live music, dance orchestras and shows that turn the sanctuary square into a meeting place for residents and visitors. The family atmosphere, the long outdoor tables and the natural setting of Alta Valle Orba make the festival an ideal occasion to spend an evening in the name of good food and tradition. Amid gastronomy, hospitality and a spirit of community, the Festa dell’Ospitalità at Madonna delle Rocche continues to enhance local traditions, offering an authentic experience of the Piedmont area and keeping alive the link between culture, faith and conviviality.
40° Sagra del lapagiun
In the heart of the Vercelli plain, Stroppiana celebrates every year the traditional Lapagiun Festival, an event that combines gastronomy, music and a spirit of community in one of the summer events most felt by the local population. The term “Lapagiun”, which in the Piedmontese dialect recalls the figure of the glutton, perfectly represents the soul of a festival born to be together around the table and rediscover the authentic flavours of the area. The star of the event is Piedmontese cuisine, with traditional dishes prepared by the volunteers of the Pro Loco and specialties that tell the gastronomic culture of the Vercelli area. Between typical recipes, local products and evenings dedicated to the great classics of regional cuisine, the festival offers a journey under the sign of taste and conviviality. Alongside food and wine, the event enlivens the village with concerts, dance evenings, exhibitions, sports activities and cultural initiatives involving visitors of all ages. The streets and squares of Stroppiana thus become a meeting place where traditions, fun and participation merge in an authentic and welcoming atmosphere. Amid genuine flavours, folklore and the desire to

50° Sagra dei salamini d’asino
The “Donkey Salamini Festival” of Castelferro, in the province of Alessandria, is one of those events that cannot be missing from the notebook of lovers of Italian gastronomic traditions. In fact, it is not often that one gets to taste a menu entirely based on donkey! Indeed, Piedmont is the cradle of the consumption of this particular type of meat, even at the popular level, and of its curing art that is celebrated precisely in the event we are talking about. The famous salamini are stuffed only once a year following the secret recipe of head chef “Il Mingo”, who, for over 45 years, has overseen the preparation of all the donkey dishes served at the Festival: the salamini, of course, and then the stewed and roasted donkey, the agnolotti, produced by a local artisan workshop, and polenta with tapulone (a rich donkey ragù). Various types of side dishes, cheeses and sweets can also be tasted, including the famous hazelnut cake. To accompany it all, the wines of the Mantovana Winery, the other hamlet of the municipality of Predosa, and a selection of craft beers from the Alessandria area.
