From that experience comes the show of the same name, which brings to the stage, with the author's usual satirical edge, Christmas as a collective ritual made up of endless lunches, relatives to put up with, wrong gifts and good intentions destined to last a short time. With her sharp writing and ability to turn the everyday into comic material, Arianna Porcelli Safonov observes Italian families at the time of year when they lay themselves most bare, returning an irreverent and recognizable portrait of the holidays that we all, at least once, would have wanted to avoid.
