Place: Garybaldi Civic Theatre. Address: Via Partigiani, 4 10036 Settimo Torinese TO, Italy View on Map. End: 16:30 In the Land of the Dismal Ones everything flows peacefully, regulated by precise laws and the strict control of the Mayor. But one day Rosaluna, a young inhabitant of the town, breaks a rule: she starts to sing. Her voice, so different and forbidden, breaks the balance of a community used to not exposing itself and not being different. Her notes, however, attract the wolves of the forest and push Rosaluna beyond the boundaries of the world she knows, towards a journey made of fears, courage and freedom. Through bodies, masks, a puppet manipulated in full view and original music, the performance leads younger children to discover the freedom to be themselves and to find their place in the world. Rosaluna’s story is an invitation to go beyond what we already know, beyond expectations and rules, so as to finally shine with one’s own light.
