SAM Settimana mondiale dell'allattamento: iniziative del Centro per le Famiglie

Address: Back Forward On the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week, the Centro per le Famiglie - CISAS is proposing to families and parents a series of events to raise public awareness and generate support on the issue of breastfeeding. The motto chosen this year by WABA (World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action) is "Breastfeeding for a sustainable start in life: let us strengthen what works". The central messages are the importance of breastfeeding from the very beginning, as soon as babies are born; its contribution to sustainability (environmental, economic, social equity); the need to monitor and research the policies and practices that have produced results in supporting early initiation and continuation of breastfeeding, in order to extend and further strengthen them. The Carlo Calcaterra municipal library and the Giulio Pastore Nursery School also support and collaborate with the initiative of the Centro per le Famiglie by proposing an opportunity for meeting and reflection starting from the reading of picture books by the nursery school educators and the NPL volunteers, Saturday 10 October at 10.30 in the Library.
