Sagra del Cardo, Bagna Cauda e Cipolla
11 October 2026 — 11 October 2026 · Andezeno

Andezeno celebrates in October the Cardoon, Bagna Cauda and Onion Festival, which brings together three protagonists of autumn Piedmontese cuisine. Andezeno, a town in the Chierese hills in the province of Turin, is linked to the cultivation of cardo gobbo, the curved-shaped vegetable obtained through an underground cultivation technique that makes it white and tender, ideal for bagna cauda, and onions, protagonists of seasonal cuisine. The festival celebrates these products with food stalls and gastronomic stands where bagna cauda, the hot sauce of garlic, anchovies and oil, is prepared according to the traditional recipe and served with raw cardo gobbo, onions and other vegetables, together with Piedmontese dishes and local wines. The festival combines gastronomy with markets, agricultural exhibitions, live music and activities for families, in an autumn celebration that honors the flavors of tradition. Andezeno preserves a compact center among the hills of the Chierese area, east of Turin, in an area of cultivation and vineyards near Chieri, an art town with its textile tradition. The hills, between Turin, Chieri and Monferrato, offer visitors a paesa
