Theatre is in fact an exceptional place in which to experience and develop conflicts: there is no story in theatre that does not begin with a conflict, and that is why theatre is the place where peace develops, where it is built within us, where we see it put into practice. In the ninth edition of “Le Notti di Cabiria”, this “exercise in peace” can be seen in many stories, such as that of Antigone told from the point of view of her sister Ismene, or that of two Italians who emigrated abroad, or that of a woman against her rapist who returned to her life after 25 years. All this is always tackled with the right irony, always trying to bring to the theatre both those who are already used to going there and those who never go. The review of contemporary diffused theatre includes performances in various venues in the Novara area, sometimes unusual ones, such as Tetti Verdi in Rizzottaglia, the Prison, the courtyard of the Faraggiana Museum and the Covered Market.
