Festival della Cicala 2026

Place: Canavese The idea of the Festival stems from the desire to offer a series of live concerts, conceived and commissioned with the precise intention of retracing a journey through the history of music, exploring compositional styles and various repertoires (this year from traditional music to jazz) across different historical eras, also enhancing the architectural, historical and cultural heritage of the Anfiteatro Morenico of Ivrea: for this reason the concerts will be held in Romanesque churches, historic palaces, eighteenth-century guesthouses, modern industrial sites and natural parks. Each concert will be introduced by brief historical-musicological presentations and listening guides: learning about certain aspects and anecdotes of the composers' lives, peculiarities and curiosities about the music, can not only broaden musical and cultural knowledge in general but also allow for more aware listening. In addition, the beautiful collaboration with the Associazione Liceo Musicale of Rivarolo continues to give space to the youngest: some of the concerts will be opened by young students who will be able to try their hand at a public performance before the main guest.
